Do Gooders: Gently Used Toy Drive

This is the second of our "Do Gooders" posts and the second drive we're hosting in as many months. 

Not that a monthly drive will be our average but DANG, doesn't it feel good to give back?

An organized playroom? Someone must've donated to a toy drive...

This month let's consider those who could benefit from all the toys we find as we rummage through our kids' stash. Every year I do a big haul to Goodwill after a Fall Cleaning and Re-Org of the playroom...primarily because the kids have outgrown stuff but secondarily to make room for what the holidays are about to bring: more toys. This year I am going to donate the gently used toys I have to a local shelter. Who's with me? 

Tentatively (will update this) Stefanie and I will both host collection boxes on our front porches from Monday, November 14th - Friday, December 16th. Please donate only gently used toys - no plushies - and if there are several pieces please put them in ziplocs for easy identification. 

Thank you for your suggestions regarding charities. I am still accepting suggestions while I research the first few...and in case we have as many toys (as the shoes we collected in our last drive) then we can donate to several places. Tis the season, y'all!
