Just wanted to "review" both family events I attended this weekend.
The first was Yoga Explorers last Saturday.
It. Was. Awesome. Seriously! The instructor, Paul, created an entire yoga lesson around the concept of being an adventurer with each pose correlating to something the kids find while exploring. My boys loved it and it gave me a good stretch too! Afterwards the kids have story-time then a breathing relaxation exercise. It's pretty close and only $15 for each parent/child pair. The info is in a previous post here:
Family Yoga at 3pm. This is a weekly class so try to make it at least once and see what you think. It could be a fun weekly after-nap activity!
The second was the 32nd Annual "Sunday in the Park" at Oakland Cemetery. I WISH we could've spent all day there but the kids had to eventually nap so we only were able to soak up 2 hours of history, family fun, live bands, and delicious street truck food. Have you ever visited the cemetery? It's such a beautiful peaceful place with gorgeous statuary and a spectacular view of the city. For this special event there was a "bubble man", hula hoops, and teddy bear story-time for the kids (along with the usual suspects -- bounce house and face painting.) Here are a few pictures from "Sunday in the Park":
